WINDSOR ROAD, E10
Designed Autumn 25; Planted Feb 26; Photographed June 26
This small but perfectly formed family garden is just 40m² - most of which is overshadowed by a mature oak tree which we wanted to work with rather than against. The new design replaces the struggling lawn with carefully considered hard landscaping and large planting beds. We have chosen plants that will actively thrive under the canopy of the oak tree and will also bring seasonal colour to complement the cool tones of this sophisticated scheme. We designed a full lighting concept for this space including beautiful brass path lights at ground level and carefully placed downlights at key spots on the fences. There’s even a moonlight fitting in the oak tree which casts playful shadows without spilling light upwards into the canopy.
The Big Idea
It’s amazing what you can squeeze into a small space . . .
