Warm. Natural. Elegant

The owners of this lovely Leytonstone garden wanted a relaxed, low-maintenance space with multiple seating areas to follow the sun throughout the day. The existing rear wall was showing signs of movement which presented an opportunity to replace it with a beautiful reclaimed brick wall, bringing warmth and character to the garden. Paired with clay pavers and a chunky oak pergola, it sets the tone for a scheme built around natural materials and earthy tones. The fences were in good condition, so a coat of soft sage green paint gave them a new lease of life, while larch cladding near the house helps define the dining area. Ornamental grasses form the backbone of the planting, providing year-round structure and movement, with exuberant Rudbeckia bringing a burst of colour in late summer. Two multi-stem Rhus typhina trees add height, sculptural interest and a strong architectural element to the space.
